RESEARCH. SURVEY. SALVAGE
INTRODUCTION
SalvOcean LLC was established as a Delaware company in 2023 and is an affiliate of UK based Britannia’s Gold Ltd (BGL), with one of the most experienced and respected salvage teams in the industry, backed by decades of intricate and detailed research.
SalvOcean is a commercial deep water salvage business which also addresses the environmental issues that accompany shipwrecks.
We create profitable, risk assessed and well-balanced salvage programmes while in parallel, working alongside scientists to assess the potential impacts to the environment through pollution brought about through decaying shipwrecks.
During World War One and Two, the British Government shipped gold bullion to pay for munitions and supplies. During both world wars approximately 7,500 allied merchant ships were sunk of which a great many have been identified by BGL research teams as carriers of precious metals. After inflation, the current value of these lost shipments is estimated to be in the region of $380 billion.
Since 2017, SalvOcean’s along with our affiliate company Britannia's Gold undertakes a global effort to locate, identify and validate valuable and hitherto largely secret cargoes.
Using industry-leading technology and supported by the research, with access to the requisite capital, we now have the skill set to plan and undertake significant salvage programmes.
This combination will facilitate the potential recovery of gold, silver and other valuable cargoes from targeted shipwrecks, initially in the North Atlantic and the America’s, but increasingly across the world.
With gold prices on the rise and many geopolitical factors coming together to ensure that this will likely continue, the absence of major gold discoveries, circumstances suggest salvage now offers a very relevant and under-valued opportunity to source gold and other precious metals.
SalvOcean with successful recovery, with effectively research and operational expertise replacing geology, will have significantly lower environmental impact and considerably lower costs when compared with mine extraction.
Still present in these wrecks are millions of cubic meters of unspent heavy fuel oils, munitions and hazardous noxious substances and they are now entering the ‘danger period’ where these wrecks will start to leak their fuel oils and other HNS substances into the oceans
SalvOcean is available and able to work with government, and marine organisations and businesses to identify potential risks to the environment and provide proactive measures on these wrecks and their current day counterparts to help avoid environmental catastrophe.
